Once a while there might be a requirement to print a list of files in a directory or send them to a clipboard or save them as a text file. Microsoft offers a solution for such a scenario through Fixit , a place to find automated solutions to common software issues.
Print Directory is a Fixit solution, once installed will let you print any directory listing. It is basic and doesn't offer any other feature like copying to clipboard and so on. So here is a list freeware which are more advanced in that sense:
- Karen's Directory Printer ( Save as Text file )
- YourDir ( Save as CSV, Save as Image )
- Directory List & Print ( Recommended -- Ability to Format the Output) (Clipboard, Excel , Word )
- JR Directory Printer ( Opens the list in a Notepad before printing and hence could be formatted )
