Most of us periodically clear all our
browsing history. It includes clearing of browser cookies too. Doing so
might make the browser cleaner, faster but it doesn't make it safer as
lurking on the computer are a different kind of objects popularly known
as Flash cookies.
These obscure cookies might get stored on the computer when users visit websites using Adobe Flash. The Flash player doesn't ask for user permission to store such cookies. Hence website's could use them for unscrupulous purposes in turn compromising user's online safety and privacy. So it makes more sense to get rid of these cookies as we do with browser cookies.
